APPLICATIONS

FUNCTION

The Bendix SLR20 Side Radar Assembly is designed to detect objects in areas alongside the vehicle that may not be readily visible to the driver.

The radar provides detection information to a compatible blind spot monitoring system, which may use that information to generate driver alerts.

Correct operation depends on the vehicle's electronic system configuration, sensor mounting, electrical connections, and communication with the associated control components.

A worn, damaged, or failing SLR20 Side Radar Assembly may cause symptoms such as:

• Blind spot monitoring system warning messages

• Side object detection system malfunction

• Missing blind spot alerts

• Intermittent radar detection

• Radar sensor communication faults

• Driver assistance system fault indicators

WHY REPLACE A SLR20 SIDE RADAR ASSEMBLY?

A malfunctioning side radar assembly may prevent the blind spot monitoring system from detecting objects or providing intended warnings.

Replacing a defective 85112391 SLR20 Side Radar Assembly with a correctly matched Bendix component can help restore side object detection and support the normal operation of the vehicle's driver assistance system.

Any necessary sensor diagnostics, configuration, or calibration should be performed according to the applicable vehicle service procedures.
