FUNCTION

The DEF Selective Catalyst Converter is part of the diesel exhaust aftertreatment system. It works within the emissions control system to support the treatment of exhaust gases in conjunction with the applicable DEF system and other aftertreatment components.

A worn, damaged, or failing DEF Selective Catalyst Converter may cause symptoms such as:
• Emissions system warning lights
• Aftertreatment system fault codes
• Reduced emissions control performance
• Engine derate or limited engine operation
• Abnormal exhaust system readings
• Failed emissions-related diagnostic checks

WHY REPLACE A DEF SELECTIVE CATALYST CONVERTER?

A damaged or malfunctioning DEF Selective Catalyst Converter can affect the operation of the exhaust aftertreatment system and may contribute to emissions-related faults. Replacing the component with the correct Genuine OEM Cummins part helps restore the intended aftertreatment system configuration when the converter has been identified as the cause of the issue.
