FUNCTION

The DEF doser pump supplies Diesel Exhaust Fluid to the SCR emissions system. Correct fluid delivery helps the system reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions during diesel engine operation.

COMMON SIGNS OF DEF PUMP FAILURE

• DEF system warning messages

• SCR or emissions-related fault codes

• Insufficient or interrupted DEF delivery

• Check engine warning light

• Possible engine derate related to an aftertreatment fault

These symptoms can have other causes and should be confirmed through proper diagnostics.

WHY REPLACE

A faulty DEF pump can prevent the SCR system from receiving the required amount of fluid and trigger emissions-related faults. Replacing a confirmed defective pump with the correct part helps restore proper DEF supply and aftertreatment operation.
