APPLICATIONS

The 745-236979N Foot Brake Valve Mounting Plate is offered for compatible Volvo and Mack commercial truck air brake system installations.

This mounting plate is intended for use with a compatible foot-operated air brake valve assembly. Exact truck models, model years, valve part numbers, and installation configurations have not been confirmed.

Verify the original part number, mounting hole arrangement, and valve assembly requirements before purchase.

FUNCTION

The Air Brake Foot Valve Mounting Plate provides a mounting interface for securing a compatible foot brake valve assembly in the vehicle.

Its mounting holes, central opening, and raised attachment points help position the valve and provide the necessary structural support for the installation.

A worn, damaged, or failing Air Brake Foot Valve Mounting Plate may cause symptoms such as:

• Loose or unstable foot brake valve mounting

• Excessive movement of the installed valve assembly

• Misalignment of the brake valve mounting points

• Rattling or vibration around the mounting area

• Difficulty securing the valve with its mounting hardware

• Visible cracks, deformation, or damaged mounting holes

WHY REPLACE A AIR BRAKE FOOT VALVE MOUNTING PLATE?

A damaged or deformed mounting plate may prevent the foot brake valve from being secured correctly.

Replacing a worn 745-236979N Air Brake Foot Valve Mounting Plate with a properly matched component can help restore secure mounting, maintain correct valve positioning, and support the mechanical integrity of the air brake valve installation.

Because this component is associated with the braking system, installation should follow the applicable vehicle service procedures.

FITMENT INFORMATION

Before purchasing the 745-236979N Genuine OEM Volvo Mack Foot Brake Valve Mounting Plate, verify the original part number, VIN, vehicle make, model, model year, engine information, and air brake system configuration.

Compare the replacement plate with the original component, including its overall shape, central opening, mounting hole locations, raised tabs, and valve attachment arrangement.

Do not assume that all Volvo and Mack foot brake valve mounting plates are interchangeable. Compatibility depends on the specific valve assembly and vehicle installation.

Always confirm that 745-236979N is the correct replacement reference for your application before ordering.

If you are unsure whether this part is correct for your vehicle, please contact us with your VIN and original part number. We are happy to help verify compatibility before purchase.
